The World of the Final Elder Scrolls of Fantasy.

Waaaaay it's me again, Joe.

Not updated this space since the release of my last cracking game, Time Time: Rewound, the game that critics described as "fun for all", "One of the funnest games I've played on newgrounds in a while" and "The graphics and the sounds quality isn't near the best, but the game is really fun to play" so in other words, the greatest game of all time. (time LOL)

But enough shameless plugging of my work (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/310725) it's time for a new project i think, and since i've done platformers, stealth games, action games, free roamers with a bit of FPS thrown in and I hate racing games, basically the only genre I haven't touched on is RPG's, so thats whats next. The World of the Final Elder Scrolls of Fantasy is an "action packed" turn based strategy fighting thing with a "gripping" storyline and characters that aren't just me, except the one that is me.

Fight snakes, wolves, dragons and homeless people in an attempt to bring justice to a wizard who blew up your house for some reason, and try to discover the EVIL PLOT THAT HE PROBABLY HAS, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS YET 'COS I HAVEN'T MADE IT. It's bound to be good, if I actually finish it and don't get bored. Stay tuned for screens and stuff coming soon.

Joe out.

152 DAYS WELL SPENT? LETS FIND OUT...

On December the third, I began work on Time Time: Rewound, a remake of the first real game I ever made. It was meant to be a project to keep me entertained over Christmas, and I believed I would get bored of it after that. I was apparently wrong. What began as something to pass the TIME  became a full blown project for me, and probably the game I am most proud of. There is still a hell of a lot I don't know about Flash (the program I use to make them) but if you compare the old version to the new, you can see that I'm way better than I used to be. Thats not bragging, its just fact, I don't want to come accross big headed, but i'm never proud of my own work, and this time I am, so lemme blow my own trumpet just a little bit OK?
Anyone who has followed the project since I started knows how much work has gone into it, and I just hope it gets the reception I hope it will. At 12.00 noon on tuesday the 2nd of May, Time Time: Rewound will be released on www.newgrounds.com where (hopefully) it will be published and reviewed. Tommorrow night I will post another entry on my space with the results of the reviews, the score out of five it gets, and a link to the game. Anyone who wants a copy for theirselves only need to ask, and i will provide.
Thats it basically, thanks to anyone who has supported me, and I just hope you ill actually play it, just to see how great I am! :p

Completion of Stage Five of Fifteen

Whenever I make Flash games, there are always a hell of alot of stages before the actual thing gets completed. In regards to Time Time, i'm happy to say that the most time [time] consuming part, the death sequences are all done. All 47 of the bastards. I have to admit a few are duplicated, but i'd like to see you do better! :p So is it close to being done? No.

Stage 1 - Ideas and Storyboards = DONE
Stage 2 - Code and method research = DONE
Stage 3 - Animatic and rough game mechanics = DONE
Stage 4 - Actual main game = DONE
Stage 5 - Additional sequences (video) = DONE
Stage 6 - Additional game content (cheats, secret levels etc)  = PENDING
Stage 7 - Collection of Sound Effects = PARTIALLY COMPLETE
Stage 8 - Implementation of extra sequnces = PENDING
Stage 9 - Implementation of Sound effects = PENDING
Stage 10 - Intensive testing and debugging = PENDING
Stage 11 - Marketing and shameless self promotion = PARTIALLY COMPLETE
Stage 12 - Publication on www.newgrounds.com  = PENDING
Stage 13 - Sending uncompressed copies to people who are interested = PENDING
Stage 14 - Sigh with relief and relax for a few.
Stage 15 - Start another game, see stage 1.

How's that for an insight into the fun of my life? But i'm well happy that i've done all the deaths, sound effects are easy to find and implement, cheats etc are easy. to add and shameless self promotion is what i do best. April 30th might be pushing it a little bit, but i'm gonna try my best to do it, if not for my adoring fans (ha) but just so I can lay the project to rest. I've been string at the same blank expression of a tiny animated version of myself for nearly 5 months, and sometimes I feel like killing myself... Bye for now.

Random..

Because I ahve nothing to do at home particulally, Tiem Time has come along well, i've just finished animating the last death sequence of the Titanic, which means that 36 / 47 are done - thats 11 left if my maths hasn't failed me again. As a mini-preview kinda thing, and because I like seeing myself get killed (i'm odd like that) here's a quick collage I threw together of me either dead, or dying. Enjoy, I know i did!

Also, this is a call out to anyone who wants to put any voices on Time Time - Rewound. They won't be major parts, most likely just laughs or grunts, but the offer is there for anyone interested!

Home again - thank God

Thank the good Lord for home cooked food, comfortable beds and baths. Though once you get past the long-missed luxuries of home, you realise that theres actually nothing to do..  except WoW and "Time Time" so here's a time time update, cos my games are much better than WoW anyway...

As so far as the death sequences are coming along, i've done 30 / 47, so thats only another 17 to go. After that there is the ending to do and a few bits to tweak ingame, sounds to implement and it's done. I'm also adding a few cheats and different game modes (i hope) and other "exciting" that i'm sure no-one will ever see.

For now, the demo is online and transmitting, just ask me for a copy. The demo is the entire first level PRE-TESTING so it's more than likely full of bugs, but i don't care, it's a demo. There is also a nice time trial mode, see if you can beat my time of 107 seconds. Type "chall" when you exit the portal, BEFORE you press any other buttons. Have fun!

Major Delays

After exactly a month since my last entry, I have decided to make another.  Unsurprisingly it is about Time Time, and how it is going. Short answer is, it's not. A March deadline was taking into account a few more death sequences I needed to animate and some sounds, not 45+ death animations. I have done 13, not even started on sound effects, and the entire game still needs fully testing and debugging. Balls. So basically it's still going to be at least a month. An April 30th release date is scheduled, and i'm confident I can make that one, as I'm going home today for 4 days, and with no WoW to distract me, Flash is all I have. Also the easter hols should let me spend some time with it. So i'll leave now with another quick picture that isn't in the game at all, I just drew it for fun, cos I love robots...

Who took the bomp?

It's been a while since I updated my space, so what better way to do it than another Time Time update, as I know you're all so interested.

As of this update I am officially working on the last boss, which means that the actual game, ie. coding etc will be complete in the next week. As far as the rest goes (sound recording, music timing, SFX, added effects, extensive testing and of course adding cheats) it could be another month, so a March 31st release date seems appropriate. There won't be boxed copies or anything, but it will be published on www.newgrounds.com, so just play it on there. A week or so afterwards I'll post cheats, secret level locations and stuff on this space.

Also check out this new theme - ORANGE!! It's cos Ash ripped off my old theme so hey, change is good right? And it's orange, which is never a bad thing.

So yeah i'll leave now with a quick note asking that if you haven't played the original Time Time, I advise you do so, if only to appreciate the change between that and the new one. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/228590

It got 3.06 out of 5, which isn't bad, but I want better!

Stay tuned, oh and here's a picture of a big ass robot trying to take me out, stupid robot.
January 16

Back once again with the ill behavior!

Well, i've been back at Uni for about a week now, and what have I acheived? I've spent well over £100 and have very little to show for it (well, some games and DVD's, but they don't look much). On the plus side, I have had shit-loads of food made for me (thanks guys, ie. Vic and Ash) but now i'm on the washing up rotor, boooo! It was my turn today. More fun than expected 'cos I just lobbed water everywhere.
In Uni-world, I have 1 exam this week (ha ha ha to all those people with more than one, also ha ha to those people who have actually started Uni, I don't start till the 30th!) but that isn't important. What is more important is that i'm officially on the last real level of Time Time.
For a game that I thought would take ages, it is going alot quicker than expected. Should be done within a month maybe. For now here's a comparison between my Titanic pictures. There isn't actually that big a difference on this one, it's hard to make a big chunk of black metal look good. This is Joe, last sane resident of Exchange works, signing off.

Almost back again...

With tommorrow looming ever closer, what better way to spend my last few hours of peace working on "Time Time"? A quick comparison of me fighting a helicopter. And to Jay (I think it's Jay) There are velociraptors, don't you worry! Also on a dinosaur related note, went to see King Kong the other day, surprisingly good. Plenty of Dinosaurs in that one, I suggest you all watch it. Thats about it really, i'll see everyone tommorrow I guess, unless I don't. Bye.
January 01

Dinosaurorific!

Nice one, it's 2006 and what better way to kick start the year than with another Time Time update?! Dinosaur level is done, and vietnam is well on it's way. I have an essay of 2000 words to do for the 4th of January, but I just can't be bothered. I have done 170 words, I think that'll be enough... As far as new year is concerned it sucked. Went to a family party, which are always lame,a nd this one was no exception. Boredom and uncomfortable silences all round! As far as my life is concerned at the moment it's also pretty dull, nothing interesting happens in this God-forsaken town. I'll leave you with a comparison between the T-Rex chase of Time Time. Notice how much I used to suck at drawing. (i'm not being big headed but the new style T-Rex rocks doesn't it? oh yes)

Bye.
